I have a simple pleasure that helps me learn new things and it is good for my body, mind and spirit.
Watching YouTube videos is my new simple pleasure.
When I am working in the kitchen, which seems like always these days, I like to watch a video. I like learning something while I do some of the more mundane tasks.
My favorite fashion person is Shari Braendel. I have her book Help Me Jesus I Have Nothing To Wear and have done some of the programs she offers. The 27 Hangers Capsule Wardrobe program was a fun way to coordinate my closet. Shari is really fun, she chats like you are her friend. She has fashion training but is down to earth. She helps women learn what to wear so we can look and feel our best.
During this pandemic I have been searching for hope. I also wanted a Biblical point of view. I found both with Dr. David Jeremiah. He is such a wise man but he makes the Bible easy to understand. This message about the Coronavirus was just what I needed. Check it out!
I am always on the look out for information about my health. I found Debra Atkinson one day when I was surfing YouTube. Debra focuses on women over 50. That won’t apply to some of you. But if you fit that category then you have to watch Debra.
She has years of experience as a personal trainer and has done lots of research about the special needs of women in the pre and post menopausal stages of life. She helped me realize the importance of adding strength training to my exercise routine. I really appreciate her teaching style because she reminds me that I don’t have to exercise like a 30 year old anymore. She even has some videos during this pandemic about reducing our stress and balancing our hormones. That might make us easier to live with, right?
I am a big fan of Leslie Sansone’s in home walking videos. Leslie offers videos for the beginner or the regular walker. Leslie has a fun chatty style. She walks alone or with a group of regular women. I often do one of her videos when the weather prevents an outside walk.
Good music always soothes my body and spirit. I sometimes like instrumental inspirational music in the background when I am reading or working on my computer. It’s hard to find music videos that aren’t full of commercials but I have found a few.
Lately I have been checking out some life hack videos, like how to cut hair and what products to use to cover grey. It will be interesting to see how they help. Tee hee
Today’s little step: Check out some YouTube videos. It’s a great way to learn something new while we do some home tasks.
I’d love to hear from you! What are your favorite YouTube channels?
Remember there are better days ahead!
Peace be with you,
