Savour and Appreciate a good friend

Do you have a good friend? A friend that understands and gets you? We need connection.

We woke up to a beautiful sunrise at our little Lake House this morning. Even though we had to leave, it was great to start the day with such beauty.  That beauty needed to be savoured and appreciated.

Don captured this great shot with his phone-amazing!

We went home today for blog writing ( no internet at the Lake House), other tasks and an office day for Don.

Before I got started with my work I got a phone call from a good friend who lives far away.  She’s the friend that understands my life; she gets me ‘cause she values the same things I do.

Her phone call was just like the sunrise- something to be savoured and appreciated!

We covered all the bases –young adult kids (wow, that’s a whole new role for a Momma to manage), husbands, politics, the pandemic, mask wearing in public, the Black Lives Matter movement and we wondered what the new normal will be for the fall.

We laughed that our chat was like a counseling session for both of us.  We encouraged each other to keep doing the right thing even when no one seems to notice.

I felt so good after. I felt understood and valued.

I was thinking that it’s too bad that you and I couldn’t chat more.

I’m just getting started with a Facebook page also titled Little Steps to Health.  Come on over and check it out.  That’s where I hope we can chat with each other as we walk along this path of Health and Well Being.

Come on over for a good chat and maybe a few surprises!

This pandemic has helped me realize how much I miss being with people.  So let’s connect!

We need to be understood and valued.

But don’t worry.  I’ll still be posting once a week as always.

But if you want a little more connection, find my Page on Facebook.

Today’s little step:  Come over to my Facebook page titled Little Steps to Health and let’s chat!

Peace be with you,

Come walk with me on the path of health and well being. Together we will navigate life. No diet. No program. Just real life struggles and successes! But believe this statement - Every little step makes a difference!

  1. Hi Dixie – Belated birthday greetings from Moncton! My laptop is broken beyond repair, but I now have internet on my phone. So good to read your blog from so far away! Will need a good phone chat when I get home the end of the month. Take care, love, Sue
